This primary suite was designed for a newly constructed Newton residence, with the clients' primary ask being a high-end, highly functional closet system for each of them — designed to feel more like a personal boutique than a storage room. Her closet was given its own dedicated room, designed around a full perimeter casework system by Molteni&C in Melamine Tatami Ivory with etched Stopsol glass doors and Metal Bronze fittings. At the center, a custom Rimadesio island anchors the space — specified in Sabbia Opaco lacquered glass with a clear reflective glass top, Rovere Termotrattato wood trays, and Arena synthetic leather dividers, sized to accommodate her jewelry and accessories in full view.
His closet was integrated directly into the primary bedroom, wrapping the corner with Molteni&C's smooth door system in Eco Skin Ivory with Metal Bronze trim — a seamless extension of the room's architecture rather than a separate storage unit. Interior fittings include dedicated shoe shelving with integrated LED lighting, hanging sections, and a custom trinket and trouser pull-out.
The bedroom FF&E was specified to complement the quiet luxury of the closet systems. Custom Rimadesio nightstands in Nocciola lacquered metal with Bianco Calacatta marble tops and Nocciola Opaco glass drawer fronts provide an elevated, sculptural bedside presence. The de Sede DS-1064 chaise lounge — upholstered in Perla leather with a Mokum Modernist in Chalk seat and black coated metal feet — was positioned at the foot of the bed to anchor the sleeping area with a gesture that is both functional and distinctly residential.
All casework was developed through field measurement, detailed SketchUp modeling, and dimensioned elevation drawings. While the clients worked with a separate interior designer for the broader residence, finish selections for the Molteni&C, Rimadesio, and de Sede pieces were developed collaboratively with the clients as part of our scope of supply.
